IPF Rule Changes

I have not received official word from the EC outlining what the organization will be doing in regards to the rule changes that occurred at this years IPF governing body meeting.  Yes the weight classes have been changed in the IPF, as well as all World Records have been “retired”.   The details of this have not been given yet.  I will wait to receive the official IPF statement (usually a week or so after the World Championships which are being held this week.)

As an organization the USAPL may or may not adopt these changes.  We will have to wait and see what the official ruling is from the EC.  I personally would like to see the weight classes stay the same.  The USAPL is a volunteer organization that in the past has stated it is an organization for the lifters by the lifters.  If you would like your opinion to be heard please send emails to your local state chair, and or the EC board.

I will try and answer all the questions you have to the best of my ability and will post all the changes with explanations on this website as soon as I receive them.

If you would like to read the purposed agenda presented by the IPF click the link below.
