Biography:

Contributions to the sport:
GOHEAVY.COM Webmaster
USA Powerlifting.com webmaster
Texas A&M Powerlifting Lifter/Coach (1998-2000)

Influences:
Rob Kamman - Rob was the guy who originally taught me how to powerlift. He's been a big help in getting me started.
Ed Coan - The man that has helped take my training from a decent teenage/junior lifter to a national champion junior/open lifter. His lifting speaks for itself and in this day and age when high squats / overuse of equipment is rampant, he is a good example of how powerlifting should be done. He has absolutely decimated the record books and totalled more than Kaz at a lower bodyweight. Need I say more?
Larry Maile - Great coach at the national and international level. He's been instrumental in helping me set some PRs in my lifting.
Kim & Wade Hooper, Jennifer Rey - Great training partners who have helped me train for my last couple meets and big totals.
Kirk Karwoski - I remember reading about his lifting when I was first
starting. The lifting he has done @ 275 has been incredible. 6 consecutive IPF world titles is a HUGE accomplishment.
Texas A&M Powerlifting Team (1998-2000) - This group of guys and girls have been a big help in my lifting while I was in school.

Future Goals:
In the immediate future, I'd like to hit an 365+kg squat, 250+kg bench press, 340+kg deadlift, and a 955+kg total. In the long run, I'd like to win Men's Worlds, break American/National records @ 125kg, win my weight class at nationals and compete at Men's Worlds frequently.

A Powerful Memory:

My best experiences in the sport have been the 2000 Junior Worlds in Taiwan where got the bronze medal, watching Coan's 2463 total in Vegas (Dec 1998), winning collegiate nationals in 1999/2000, winning Men's nationals my first time out in 2001, and watching / competing in the 2001 IPF Men's World Powerlifting Championships.
